BELIZE'S TRANQUILITY BAY RESORT INVITES ANGLERS FOR GRAND SLAM CHALLENGE WITH COUNTRY MUSIC STAR DANIEL LEE MARTIN
Resort hosts fishing show "Backstage & Backroads" and now, for the first time ever fans can be part of the action

AMBERGRIS CAYE, Belize – Belize's Tranquility Bay Resort will once again host popular Sportsman Channel fishing and hunting show "Backstage & Backroads," and for the first time, guests can join in on the fun. Country music star and show host, Daniel Lee Martin, is inviting more than 25 guests to join him in Belize for a Grand Slam challenge. Belize's Grand Slam is catching tarpon, permit and bonefish all in one day, which is possible off the shores of Tranquility Bay Resort.

Guests and TV stars will stay in beachfront cabanas at Tranquility Bay Resort on the northern tip of Ambergris Caye, where fishing abounds. Tranquility Bay is the only resort located within Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site less than 100 yards away from the Belize Barrier Reef, and the perfect location for avid fly fisherman.

Fly-fishing fans will be able to experience two days of guided fishing along with unlimited fishing from the resort's pier and even in the shallows off the resort. Guests can wake up early to experience Belize sunrises and be the first out on the water for the challenge. After a long day of fishing, guests can come back to Tranquility Bay's over-water restaurant, The Tackle Box Sea Bar, to wind down with a relaxing meal. Guests might even be a part of the televised fishing show and can relive and share their experience by watching the show on the Sportsman Channel.

The week-long trip is not all about fishing. It is about anglers bonding and enjoying the relaxing Belize experience – one night there will even be a private beach concert with Daniel Lee Martin and friends. To round out the full Belizean experience, a Mayan ruin tour and cave tubing experience is built into the seven-day, all-inclusive package. Rates start at $1,539 for quad occupancy, $1,879 for double occupancy for the May 3-9 trip. To book, please visit www.tranquilitybayresort.com or call (888) 843-2293 for reservations.
